Tablet commemorating the setting up of the Czechoslovak Federal Republic



General Information

Unveiled during celebration of the 70th anniversary of the formation of the Czech-Slovak Republic(Cesko-Slovenskej Republiky). The monument consists of a Lion holding the state symbol atop a 14.85 meter high pillar. The lion was originally part of a monument to M. R. Stefanik from 1938, which stood on Stur Square. The monument was re-worked by J. Porubovic.
